Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) recognizes the unfortunate reality that students in Zimbabwe are often denied the opportunity to access higher education due to their activism efforts and pursuit of democracy. ZINASU firmly believes that access to higher education should be a fundamental right, not a privilege, and that every student has the potential to make a positive impact on their community and society.
To mitigate the risk of students being denied educational opportunities, ZINASU through its partner organisations, is dedicated to facilitating opportunities for such individuals to continue their activism work while pursuing their academic goals at esteemed and recognized universities and institutions abroad. The Union is committed to supporting, empowering, and providing resources to students who have been marginalized or punished for their advocacy work.
ZINASU firmly believes that education and activism go hand-in-hand, and that students should be able to pursue both without fear of retribution or discrimination. The Union stands ready to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to any student who seeks to make a positive impact on their community and the world, and to promote democracy and human rights in Zimbabwe.
