Company Description

Welcome to CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, where physicists and engineers collaborate to explore the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world’s largest and most sophisticated scientific instruments, we study the basic constituents of matter by making fundamental particles collide at close to the speed of light. This process provides invaluable insights into how particles interact and unveils the fundamental laws of nature. Learn more about our mission at home.cern.

Diversity is at the core of CERN’s mission, reflecting our commitment to creating an inclusive and innovative environment.

Job Description

Imagine contributing to work that is changing the world while still in university. Picture yourself working in an international environment with an excellent quality of life. Participate in CERN’s Administrative Student Programme!

There’s no better way to learn than on the job, especially when it’s within a world-renowned organization and a center of scientific excellence. If you are an undergraduate student in Administration seeking practical training or a place to complete your final project, consider spending 2 to 12 months at CERN during your studies (Bachelor or Master’s). This opportunity is ideal for those pursuing disciplines such as translation, human resources, business administration, law, finance, engineering management, science communication, and more.

A panel of CERN experts reviews applications three times a year (February, June, and October), selecting around 50 students annually to join the programme.

Qualifications

To qualify for the programme, you must meet the following requirements:

  • National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
  • Completed at least 18 months of undergraduate studies (Bachelor or Master’s) in an administrative field by June 2024.
  • Registered as a full-time student during the internship.
  • Good knowledge of English or French.

Please note that if you are studying in a STEM/engineering field, you are not eligible for this position; instead, consider applying for the CERN Technical Student Programme.
